Also, I subscribe to RSS feed generated from this search results. If you don’t know what this means, RSS enables you to send you alerts whenever your chosen feed updates it. By using RSS reader such as Google Reader (which is my only option), you can receive automatic updates from news, blogs or any RSS feeds. To do this, all you have to do is look for a button that says RSS. For this Twitter search results, it’s located upper right screen.
When you click on this button, you’re taken to the following screen and you want to press “add to Google Reader”.
It’s easy to sign up for Google Reader in order to stay up to date with news you’re interested in. Inside Google Reader, your feeds get sorted like this.

What I like about using RSS Reader vs Email is that it does not clutter up my inbox, reader automatically updates feeds, instead of clicking one at a time like you do with email, RSS feeds just scroll up and down like you when you’re navigating a web page.
Currently, I subscribe to 88 RSS feeds. Every day I receive over 300 updates. Sometimes I get to read all, and others I just read bits and pieces. But as you can imagine if I was doing this using email, it would take me all day to sort out everything.
If you have a news site or favorite blog feed you’d like to subscribe to, then all you have to look for is that RSS button.

If setting up Google Reader is too much work for you, and if you insist on subscribing through email, you can look for email subscription button normally located on sidebars as shown below.

or after clicking on the orange RSS button, you’re taken to a page like this below. Click on delivered by email option.

So there you have it; a quick tutorial on how to use Google Reader (or RSS reader of your choice) and how to connect closely with fellow Mesa Tweeters.
